Take a short flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia to visit the UNESCO world heritage site of Angkor Wat. The world’s largest religious complex will amaze you with its scale and majesty and vast array of beautiful bas-reliefs and intricate ornate carvings. Wonder at the huge, smiling faces of the Bayon Temple, and explore the hidden temple of Beng Mealea.

When changing money in Cambodia, it is advisable to exchange money at a bank. If you change money at the local money changer, you will get a much less favorable exchange rate. It is always advisable to change your currency into U.S. dollars before you leave, or at least change it at the airport when you arrive. Remember to change any Riel you have back into dollars before you leave, because Cambodian Riel is NOT convertible outside the country.

When you have free time in Ho Chi Minh City, take a walk along the Saigon River, and also be sure to try some of the tasty Vietnamese Pho Noodles.

Spectacular Saigon & Siem Reap - 07 Days
Itinerary Details:
Day 01: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival 
Upon your arrival, you will be met by our representatives and transferred to your hotel for check-in. After checking in, you will have free time to relax get ready for the next day's activities.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh hotel. Dinner included.
Day 02: Ho Chi Minh City tours
In the morning after breakfast, we visit the Binh Tay Market in Cho Lon District, and then stop at Thien Hau (a 150 year old Chinese Temple), then on to a lacquer ware workshop, and the Jade Emperor pagoda. In the afternoon visit the War Remnants Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the historic Central Post Office.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh hotel. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Day 03: Ho Chi Minh - Tay Ninh & Cu Chi Tunnels
We depart Ho Chi Minh City at 8:00 am from your hotel for a morning excursion to Tay Ninh and the great Cao Dai Temple (a place of worship mixing Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, Hinduism and Christianity). We see the noon mass at the temple (1 hour), and then have lunch in Tay Ninh. In the afternoon we visit the Cu Chi outdoor museum to learn about the infamous tunnel system created by the Viet Cong. You have the unique opportunity to get an insight into the guerillas underground fighting strategy during the war as we crawl through 50 to 100 meters of the 200 km tunnel system. On the way back to Saigon, we visit a rice paper workshop, and enjoy the view of rice paddies as we drive through the pleasant Vietnam countryside.

Day 04: Ho Chi Minh City - Siem Reap - Angkor Temples
After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for the short flight to Siem Reap. When you arrive in Siem Reap, you will be met by our staff at the airport and transferred to your hotel. After getting settled in to the hotel, we set out on a tour of the Angkor Wat complex, and enjoy a terrific sunset view from the tethered balloon. In the evening you will enjoy a local welcome dinner at a first-class restaurant.

Day 05: Siem Reap - Angkor Temples
After an early breakfast, we take a short drive to visit Angkor Thom. It is the best preserved of all the temples, and the layout and scale are really breathtaking. We see the South Gate, Bayon, Baphuon, Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper king. It is then on to the jungle temple of Ta Prohm which is overgrown with large trees and vines. The  afternoon sees us driving out in the countryside to see the temples of Banteay Srei and Banteay Kdei. Banteay Srei is known as the citadel of women because of its association with the legend of the training female soldiers. This temple is constructed of pink sandstone and ornament with intricate stone carvings.

Day 06: Siem Reap - Beng Mealea - Floating Village
This morning after breakfast, we drive out to explore the hidden temple of Beng Mealea which was badly damaged in the civil war. When you visit Beng Mealea, you can imagine the contrast of the Khmer Empire and the recent war. In the afternoon, we drive to the Tonle Sap Lake which swells up to ten times larger during the rainy season, and is Asia's largest lake. We take a boat ride to see the incredible floating village. Depending on the time, we might also go shopping in Siem Reap.

Day 07: Siem Reap Departure
Breakfast at the hotel, and then its time to get ready for your departure. You will have free time until transfer to your departure point.
